At Synergy Effect, we pride ourselves on delivering unique and unforgettable experiences for every client. One of our most recent and successful collaborations was with Galderma, a global leader in dermatology whose ANZ team have been one of Synergy Effect’s closest clients over the last few years.
To create a product launch event for in-person and online delegates that not only celebrated the innovation of the new product, but was also highly-engaging, educational and memorable.

Bring the event to life by fusing elegant event styling with technical and logistical excellence, given that Australia was one of the first countries to approve this new product worldwide.
Create a seamless and thoughtful experience for guests even outside of the event, managing registrations, event communications, flights, accommodation, airport transfers and parking for in-person guests.
The team were able to secure exclusive use of the entire second floor of the historic Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, one of Sydney’s original high-end hotels.
Upon arrival at the venue, guests were guided by staff (not signs!) to the registration area, where self-serve touch-screen kiosks ensured an efficient and swift on-site registration process.
After registering, guests walked up the main staircase and were welcomed into a world of GO BEYOND branding. Custom built walls featuring branded artwork took the immediate attention of guests, and at guest’s feet was an immaculate ‘sea’ of blue carpet, carried across the entire event floor.
When the doors to the ballroom opened, guests were greeted with a vast multi-screen and surround-sound audio/visual design that continued to elevate the GO BEYOND brand and bring highly-impact to the educational content that was about to be delivered. A pristine white custom stage was built, which was styled with immaculate ottomans and florals that complimented the contemporary mood and tone of the event.
The plenary sessions kicked off with an emotive and energetic opening video, which summarised and built-up excitement for the overarching story of Galderma’s new product. From here, the Galderma team had assembled a powerhouse line-up of speakers that effectively kept the content engaging. Synergy Effect assisted in elevating each speaker and session, with management of additional media and creation of energetic introductions for each speaker. Synergy Effect also assisted in formatting and adjusting Galderma’s legacy media assets to fit across all seven screens in use, all while ensuring they where suitable for the online stream too.
In the pre-function areas, guests were able to help themself to a refreshment and begin to discover the wonderful interactive experiences the Galderma and Synergy Effect teams brought to life. These included:
An industry ‘time-trial’ challenge that showcased the time-saving nature of the new product.
A medical information booth for guests who had questions about the science behind the new product.
A Virtual Reality experience that showcased the manufacturing process of the new product.
Two unique photo activations that ensured quests were able to take home a memory/souvenir from the event.
A lounge area that highlighted other products in the Galderma Aesthetics portfolio.
Another key contribution Synergy Effect brought to the launch was the use of an audience engagement tool that allowed Galderma to not only further immerse their guests into the content, but also gain valuable insights and assess how well the content was being received. This included branded polls and quizzes, for both in-person and online delegates. Guests would use their own mobile phones to seamlessly log into the engagement platform, which delivered live animated results right to the presenter on stage and for all delegates to witness in the moment.
All while this event was taking place, the Synergy Effect team was also working hard to ensure all delegates received a seamless and comfortable experience if travelling interstate for the event, whether that be through accomodation management, airport transfers, flight management and parking logistics.
We worked closely with the education and marketing team at Galderma to design an event that not only showcased their unique new product, but also aligned perfectly with the branding guidelines that had already been established. Also part of our service was a meticulous and thorough management of the overall event budget, ensuring Galderma had a constant and clear indication of what exactly they were investing in, and how each component of the event was contributing overall.
Over the course of an afternoon, healthcare professionals were immersed and engaged in an event that truly embodied Galderma’s values and story behind their newest addition to their aesthetics portfolio, providing an unforgettable experience for all involved. 435 delegates from across Australia attended the event in person, and 267 more tuned-in online.
The team’s vision was brought to life and by fusing contemporary event styling with excellent technical production, the team set a benchmark for similar global events that were to follow. Thrilled with the outcome, both Galderma and Synergy Effect continue to empower the ‘immersive-educational’ approach, ensuring guest experiences are at front of mind, while incorporating key educational messages across event production.
