FAQs

How much time do I need to plan an online event?

This depends on the complexity of the content/media you might need support with, eg speaker capture, opening video creation, or presentation design.  We work with organisations that may have these services internally, or require assistance.  Six weeks is minimal lead time.

What virtual stage sets can I use?

We have select number of virtual stage sets that can be utilised, incorporating brand elements such as logos, animations, topic related pictures to help set the scene relating to the event message. If none of these suit, we can design a space from scratch.

How does this sort of event elevate my brand?

With a professional branded stage set, which reflects your colours and brand, plus incorporates quality speaker capture, and presentation design, you are demonstrating that you value your audience and are going to give them something that is worthy of their attention.  This sets your brand apart from the rest, who are often utilising entry level team related meeting platforms.

What’s the best way to make use of the hour for Ignite60?

Plan your sessions so they’re short, sharp and to the point.  Audiences watching screens, need content to be easily digested, have high visual impact, and it helps to bring in a variety of views, whether that be more than one presenter, or incorporating audience feedback and create an engaging quiz, questionnaire or dynamic word cloud that provide real time live results that adds sentiment and opens conversations between the speaker and the audience.

How do we bring more interaction and inclusion into our event?

With the high priority of organisations seeking to unite their workforces, teams or customers, it’s never been more important to plan your sessions putting your audience and stakeholders into equal priority.  What will give each group the feeling of being a part of your event, instead of being spoken to (like the old style of presentation delivery from a stage). 

How could you plan your session so that you ask for audience ideas, feedback and sentiment?  It can be a fun quiz with a winner, or more formal ideation, polling or feedback. These activities build a strong culture and your people will feel included and more likely to pay attention to your strategy or message.

How do you work to bring minimal environmental impact to our business?

With the importance of organisations considering how they do business and report on their forward plans for sustainable impact, it’s worthwhile considering at the beginning of your planning opportunities to run an event that is 95% sustainable, rather than offsetting the impact form emissions.  The stats tell a very compelling story.  Check out further info in our blogs.

What’s a good timeframe for an online event?

Depending on the reason you’re holding the event, you may wish to consider a 60 minute strategy delivery to all your workforce.  This can be effective if you have a couple of speakers, strategy, polling and breakout rooms for 15 minute business area presentations or discussion.  Should you wish to extent to a 2-3 hour presentation/event, then Unite240 is the upgrade on offer.  We’ve done one to two full days before, or broken conferences up to 3 hours over multiple days, so it depends on the amount of information you wish to share.  An ideation/planning session might help uncover a solution that’s right for you.

What is the best approach to presentations or media content?

We recommend presentations focus on imagery rather than bullet point text style.  Key comments or graphics that appear next to your speak to anchor their message is far more visually engaging that too much text on a screen.  Incorporate animation, or movement.  Keep text font size to minimum of 24point.

My speaker is overseas, do they need to travel or can we capture remotely?

The beauty of technology innovation has meant that we can capture speakers anytime, anyplace without the need for expensive and time consuming travel requirements.  We have the option of capturing them live into your event, from their computer, or for more quality presentations, we can capture their presentation against a green screen, so your speaker is incorporated into your branded stage set, alongside their presentation.  It’s done within our dedicated production team to deliver a high impact effect.

What sort of event does Ignite60 suit best?

Product launches, strategy delivery to align all your workforce, product educational updates, or workshops.  It’s your opportunity to deliver your message that’s more event worthy, than your everyday meeting platform for your team meetings.  It’s worthwhile considering what could be delivered once a year, or once a quarter.

Can you do breakout rooms?

We certainly can.  You provide us with a list of attendees per group, or they can choose their own session, it’s up to you.

What’s the difference between webinars, virtual events and online events?

In our eyes, we believe all delivery are event worthy content.  They are live events.  There is nothing virtual about them, apart from the stage set and the quality of streaming/delivery, plus your audience won’t be put to sleep.

We have a platform eg Webex, or teams that we use to stream, how can you help us make it look good?

We can help you deliver a quality show that positions your speakers and media to a high quality.  We help you plan your sessions, so they’re impactful and relatable to your organisation and guests.  With creating a dynamic virtual stage set, you’ll have movement in your presentations, appearing like you have multiple cameras in play, your presentations will be of a high quality and we provide you with a program ready file for you to stream, and do live Q&A through your system as needed.

What role do we play in the planning?

All event strategy starts with understanding some fundamental questions:

What’s the reason for your event?

What do you want your audience to think and feel, or action from attending the event?

If you could involve your attendees in the sessions, what interaction would be meaningful?

Who are the speaker(s) that you’d really love present and where are they located?

From there, we help you create a program outline, consider your branded set, elements for your program, audience interactions, presentations and media content and project milestones to ensure it all gets done in the allotted time.

How does an online event help me save money, vs a traditional event?

Who and where are all your customers, staff or people that if you would invite you could?  Remember your opportunity to massively extend your reach at a low cost per person is achievable.  Think across the country,  region.  You are not paying for expensive travel, accommodation or food and beverage, unless you want to.
